Who should buy Tesvor M1

  • If you have heavy shedding pets in your home, the Tesvor M1 might satisfy you because its suction power can go as high as 4000Pa, which is one of the highest suction powers in robot vacuums.
  • If you have carpets or rugs in your home, the Tesvor M1 might be suitable for you because it can effectively climb up a medium-pile carpet and clean thoroughly even in carpets because of its high suction power.
  • If you are on a tight budget, the Tesvor M1 might be an excellent choice for you because it has a reasonable price and is still equipped with smart features.
  • If you have a lot of low-lying furniture such as sofa, bed, or cabinet, you might want to take advantage of the Tesvor M1’s low height that can easily clean areas that are hard to reach.

Who should NOT buy Tesvor M1

  • If you are looking for a robot vacuum where you can set virtual boundaries and select rooms to clean in the created map, the Tesvor M1 is not suitable for you. The Roborock S6 might interest you more since it supports virtual boundaries and selective room cleaning in its app.

This is our verdict of the Tesvor M1 based on several hours of research of reviews from both experts and users.
Updated 13-05-2021

The Tesvor M1 boasts its high suction power that is mostly seen in high-end robot vacuums. At its maximum suction power, it can go as high as 4000 Pa. However, the downside of the maximum suction mode is that it produces a loud noise and might get in trouble because it tries to pick up objects such as socks and cables. If you have noise sensitivity, the Tesvor M1 also has a quiet mode but with a decreased suction power.

The Tesvor M1 follows an S shape pattern when cleaning. Meaning it goes back and forth until it cleans the entire room. The Tesvor M1 utilizes gyroscope navigation which is better than robot vacuums that sweep randomly by bumping from furniture to furniture. However, the smart navigation of the Tesvor M1 is not the smartest. If you interrupt or pick up the Tesvor M1 while in the middle of its cleaning, it will restart its cleaning cycle and the map it creates will be inaccurate. Robot vacuums with Laser navigation are smarter because they can save the created map and plan a better route for the robot vacuum.

As the Tesvor M1 vacuums, it creates a map in the app. It supports a real-time mapping feature wherein you can supervise the areas that the Tesvor M1 has cleaned by the map it makes. However, it doesn’t save the created map and also doesn’t show a cleaning history. So the map it creates doesn’t do much and is just for viewing.

You can control the Tesvor M1 through the designated app, remote control, and voice control. The app allows you to adjust the suction power (quiet, normal, strong, max), set a cleaning schedule, select cleaning mode (smart clean, spot clean, edge clean, and control manually). The remote control is also ideal to use if you have other family members so that they can still use the robot if you are not at home. The Tesvor M1 also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for basic commands such as on and off.

The battery life of the Tesvor M1 is adequate. It can run for 150 minutes in the quiet mode and in the maximum mode, it can operate for 80 minutes. The robot vacuum will return to its charging station when the battery is low, even in the midst of cleaning. However, unlike other robot vacuums with recharge and resume feature, the Tesvor M1 will not resume to where it left after recharging; instead, it will restart and create a new cycle.

Overall, the Tesvor M1 is efficient in vacuuming thanks to its high suction power. It can also support a mopping function but you have to buy it separately. It is worth the price because of its high suction power which is rare for a robot vacuum with a budget price like the Tesvor M1.
