The Yeedi K650 is a budget robot vacuum that is a solid option for day-to-day cleaning. Since it is relatively cheap, it has limitations and lacks several features. However, its biggest strength is its strong suction power and an extra-large dustbin.

It has a strong suction power of up to 2000 Pa, which is quite powerful for its price range. It can easily vacuum pet hairs, dust, and crumbs on any type of floor, such as wood, tile, laminate, and medium-pile carpets. Additionally, it has a large 800ml dust bin that can accumulate large amounts of dirt and come in handy if you don't want to empty the dustbin every frequently during every cleaning cycle.

You can control the K650 through the app or voice control by using Amazon Alexa. If you want to take advantage of the smart features and step up your vacuuming experience, you should definitely download the app. The app allows you to set a cleaning schedule, adjust suction power, adjust cleaning modes (Spot and Edge cleaning mode), view cleaning logs, track the usage status of the vacuum's accessories, and find the robot.

However, since the K650 doesn't support mapping capabilities, the app lacks features such as virtual boundaries, selective room cleaning, multi-level mapping, etc.

Another downside of not having a smart navigation system is that the robot vacuum doesn't have a systematic cleaning pattern and might encounter difficulties finding its charging base. So, it will wander around your home until it consumes its battery, hoping that it covered the whole floor. There is a possibility that it may leave some spots uncleaned, but if you live in a small house or an apartment, the K650 might have a higher chance of covering the whole floor.

The K650 doesn't support virtual boundaries, but it is compatible with magnetic strips. The app includes a toggle for enabling magnetic strip boundaries, but unfortunately, it is not included in the box. You have to buy the magnetic strip separately.

Still, the K650 is smarter than other robot vacuums that wander aimlessly because of its sensors. The K650 has sensors that prevent it from falling down the stairs or ledges and another sensor to avoid obstacles and furniture. These sensors help the robot vacuum navigate your home without causing trouble. But if ever it gets stuck, it will notify your phone immediately.

The advantage of not having a laser navigation system is that it doesn't have a laser turret that increases the robot vacuum's height. The lower the profile of the robot vacuum, the better. The K650 has a height of 3.15 inches that can easily traverse under low-lying furniture and other hard-to-reach areas.

You can adjust the K650's suction power into three settings: 600 Pa, 1200 Pa, and 2000 Pa. The lowest suction power can run quietly, producing only about 56dB, which can be the same as a microwave oven. You can use the lowest suction power when you are watching TV or having a conversation with other people.

Overall, the Yeedi K650 is a standard robot vacuum that supports a robot vacuum's essential features in the app. Suppose you think that you don't necessarily need the other smart features. In that case, the K650 is a solid choice for you since it can still deliver an excellent vacuuming experience despite its limitations.
