Who should buy Tesvor X500

  • If you are new to robot vacuums, the Tesvor X500 is an excellent choice, it is straightforward to set up and doesn't cost much so you won't have to spend a lot of money.
  • If you work at home or have a noise sensitivity issue, the Tesvor X500 is suitable for you because it works quietly and doesn't cause a disturbance.
  • If you are on a tight budget, the Tesvor X500 might interest you because it comes at a reasonable price. Despite its low cost, it can clean really well with the help of its systematic cleaning pattern, and reliable suction power.
  • If you have a lot of low-lying furniture such as sofas, beds, or cabinets, you should take advantage of the low-height profile of the Tesvor X500. With its 2.9 inch height, it can easily go under low-lying furniture to clean areas that are hard to reach.

Who should NOT buy Tesvor X500

  • If you have areas that you don't want the robot to go to, such as your pets' water bowls, the Tesvor X500 might disappoint you because the magnetic strip that can block off areas is not included in the box, and the app doesn't support virtual barriers.
  • If you live in a large home, the Tesvor X500 might not be able to clean your entire floor on a single charge. Once it consumes all of its battery, it will go back to its charging base and won't resume from where it left off. Unlike the Eufy RoboVac G30, that can recharge and resume its cleaning cycle to where it left off so it doesn't have to start all over again.

The Tesvor X500 is one of the budget robot vacuums that is not manufactured by a big brand, but offers great value. The mopping attachment and magnetic strip are not included in the box, which is what makes it cheaper.

Most budget robot vacuums follow a random pattern, and so tend to not clean all the areas required. However, the Tesvor X500 has an S-shaped pattern that is more efficient in cleaning the entire floor, instead of randomly bumping into furniture all the time. The Tesvor X500 utilizes a gyroscopic navigation system to map the floor and design cleaning paths accordingly. It also has the ability to adapt to its surroundings, allowing it to memorize the cleaning paths and continue to improve its mapping ability over time. The more you use it, the better it gets.

You can see real-time mapping in the app, to supervise the areas that the robot vacuum has finished cleaning, but unfortunately, you cannot set "no-go" zones or select specific areas to clean in the map it creates. The robot vacuum also doesn't store any maps, so you cannot see its cleaning history. The map in the app is only there for viewing purposes.

You can control the robot through the app, remote control, and voice control (Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant). As mentioned before, the app allows you to see where the robot vacuum has been. It also allows you to set a cleaning schedule and change the cleaning mode (smart, single room, edge spot). The remote control can come in handy if you have other family members that don't know how to use the app, such as the elderly. With the help of the remote control, other family members can also use the robot even if you are away from home. The voice control is a nice feature, but it can only support basic commands, such as on and off.

Overall the Tesvor X500 is worth a try if you are looking for your first robot vacuum. It can support mopping, but unfortunately, that is sold separately. Although It is still a nice option to have, if you want a robot vacuum that can also mop.

Beats out the others!
I've tried bobsweep, shark, and iroomba and in my opinion the Tesvor X500 is the overall best robot vacuum due to how effective it is at floor coverage (over 1600ft2) , ability to clean under low profile furniture, capturing pet hair & dirt, ease of use, build quality, & on top of all this a price that's reasonable. The prices for bobsweep, and iroomba?! Come on! My bobsweep was the most inept creation with a ridiculously expensive price tag, and while I like that the iroomba the astronomical price isn't justified with it's capabilities. What are these company's thinking? I'll sacrifice a few petty features like not coming with a mop attachment because Tesvor x500 is so realistically priced as well as the accessories, you have money left over to get the mopping attachment or magnetic strips! Keep up the great products Tesvor! Customer for life here?!
