Who is the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus suitable for
If you see the advantage in minimizing the daily maintenance of the robot vacuum cleaner by that the robot automatically empties its dust container, then the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is a good choice. However, if you want to use the mopping function and want the maintenance of it minimized, the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, or the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is a better choice.
The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is suited to large households, because it has a powerful 5200 mAh battery and an advanced navigation system. In addition, it offers many options for customizing the cleaning.
Who is the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus not suitable for
The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus takes up a lot of space due to the large base station. For smaller households, it can be difficult to find storage space for it. If you have a small household then a robot vacuum cleaner with a regular charge station, such as the Roborock S8, or the Roborock S7 MaxV might be a better choice.
If you are on a tight budget, the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus might not be the best pick because it is relatively expensive. Instead you might want a robot vacuum cleaner which costs less, but still gives a good cleaning result, such as the Roborock E5.

The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is an upgrade to the Roborock S7+. Both robots come with an auto-emptying base station, however the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is different in the following areas:
Stronger suction power: The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus has a suction power of 5200 Pa, whereas the Roborock S7+ only has a suction power of 2500 Pa.
Camera: The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is equipped with camera-technology, which enables the robot to recognize and avoid objects. Also the camera enables you to make live remote reviewing with your phone.
Roborock S7 MaxV Plus vs. Roborock S8+
The upgrade to the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus is the Roborock S8+. We have previously reviewed the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra which is nearly identical.
Mainly the Roborock S8+ is upgraded by:
Stronger suction power: The Roborock S8+ has a maximum suction power of 6000 Pa, whereas it is 5100 Pa for the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus.
Two main brushes: It has two main brushes made of rubber instead of one, which makes it better at picking up dirt and animal hair.

But there are also some features that the Roborock S8+ does not have that the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus can offer:
Live remote viewing: The Roborock S7 MaxV Plus offers live remote viewing where you can see with the robot's camera through the app.

This is a large size compared to a regular docking station, and the location of it should be thought into your house's decor before you choose this robot vacuum cleaner. It should be placed where you can easily access to replace its dust bag.
You will need to change the dustbag regularly for the Roborock S7 MaxV Plus when the dust bag is full. The dust bag has a capacity of 3 liters and can store up to 120 days of dust, however this depends on how often you use the robot and how large your household is.
