Who should buy Neato Robotics D10

  • If you live in a large house, the Neato Robotics D10 is an excellent choice because it can continuously clean for 300 minutes. With this battery life, it can clean your whole house on a single charge.
  • If you have heavy shedding pets in your house, the max suction mode of the Neato Robotics D10 is a great help because it can easily pick up pet hairs on any floor type, such as on carpets, and hard floors.
  • If you don’t have enough time to empty the dust bin, you might appreciate the capacity of the Neato Robotics D10. It has one of the largest dust bins with a capacity of 0.7L.

Who should NOT buy Neato Robotics D10

  • If you are on a tight budget, the Neato Robotics D10 may not be for you. Instead, you can check out other vacuums, like the Dreametech D9, and the Roborock S6 Pure, that offer great results for a more affordable price.
  • If your house has small rooms, with a lot of narrow spaces, the Neato Robotics D10 might not be the best option. Its size prevents it from fitting into narrow spaces and cleaning properly.

Verdict

The Neato Robotics D10 is an expensive robot vacuum, and for good reason. It is equipped with plenty of unique features, including a D-shape, a long brush roll, a large dust bin, and impressive battery life.
Like other Neato robot vacuums, the D10 has the signature D-shape, which has many advantages. Since the front is flat, it can get close to the walls and clean the corners of the room far better than circular vacuums
The D-shape creates more space for a longer brush roll. Therefore, the Neato Robotics D10 can cover more territory, and finish cleaning faster than the circular robots. The D-shape also allows more space for a larger dust bin. Circular vacuums like the Roborock S7, usually have 0.47 liter dust bins, whereas the D10 can hold 0.7 liters of dirt. Having a larger dust bin means that you won’t have to keep emptying it out while cleaning.

The Neato Robotics D10 has a long battery life; it can clean for 300 minutes straight. The large dust bin and long battery life mean that the D10 can clean your entire house, on its own, in one go. This makes it highly convenient for busy people, as well as those who live in large houses.

However, there is a downside to its size and shape. The D10’s wide front makes it difficult for it to fit into narrow spaces, and maneuver around table or chair legs. It also tends to get stuck a lot. That is why this robot vacuum is more suitable for those who have spacious rooms.

The Neato Robotics D10 is equipped with three suction modes: eco, turbo, and max. This sets it apart from the Neato Robotics D8, which only offers eco and turbo. The max mode is great for those who have high-pile carpets, and furry pets who shed a lot. It can easily deep-clean carpets, and pick up pet hairs on any type of floor.

The Neato Robotics D10 uses the smart LIDAR navigation system, which allows it to create an accurate map of the territory. The map lets it know which areas it has, and has not vacuumed, so that it can clean more effectively. You can see and customize the map in the app, where you can set virtual boundaries and no-go zones. You can also indicate specific areas in a room that you want the D10 to clean or avoid.
However, compared to its competitors in this price range, its app has fewer features. For example, the Roborock S6 MaxV, allows you to create virtual lines instead of zones, and select specific rooms to clean instead of areas. The Roborock S6 MaxV’s also allows you to create diagonal lines in a room, unlike the no-go zones, which only allow you to draw squares.

Overall, the Neato Robotics D10 is an excellent choice for those who live in large and spacious houses, as well as those who have furry pets and many carpets in their homes. It is one of the more expensive robot vacuums on the market, but it is a worthwhile investment.
