However, the Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid stands out because it is one of their mid-range robot vacuums that is more expensive, but still equipped with high-quality features.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid can vacuum and mop simultaneously, which saves time and makes for more efficient cleaning. It comes with a large, translucent mat that can be attached to the charging dock. This means that if the water tank is attached to the robot vacuum while it is charging, it won’t ruin your floors. However, unlike the Eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid, you cannot control the water flow of the mopping function.

If you don’t need a mopping function, you might be more interested in the Eufy RoboVac X8, which has a larger 0.6L dust bin thanks to the extra space.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is equipped with 4 suction modes: pure, power, turbo, and max. It gives you a variety of options, so that you can choose the most appropriate suction mode for your floor. If you want the robot vacuum to decide the suction mode, you can choose the BoostIQ, which automatically adjusts suction power depending on the floor type. For example, if it vacuums on a hard floor and moves across the carpet, it will automatically increase its suction power the moment it detects the carpet.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid’s app offers plenty of features to give you better control over the robot vacuum. This model is equipped with a smart navigation system, which allows it to create an accurate map that you can see in the app. The map lets you select zone cleaning, instruct the robot vacuum to clean a specific room, create "no-go" zones and virtual walls as well as "no-mop" zones. For instance, you can use the "no-mop" zone on your carpets so that the robot vacuum won’t ruin them. However, it doesn’t remember the previously created "no-mop" zones, so you have to re-draw them every time you use the mopping function.

Overall, the Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is a worthwhile purchase, thanks to its many impressive features and excellent cleaning performance. However, the mopping function does need some improvements, because you cannot use it on its own, control its water flow, or create permanent no-mop zones. That said, if you just want a robot vacuum that will provide a bit of additional cleaning, then this model is an excellent choice.
