This is our verdict of the Eufy RoboVac 15c based on several hours of research of reviews from both experts and users.
The Eufy RoboVac 15c is a budget robot vacuum that performs above average among its competitors within its price range. It supports an array of smart features and vacuums well.
It supports various cleaning modes, such as Auto, Spot, Edge, and 30-minute cleaning. This provides the user with a lot of choices to choose from that help them determine what mode best applies to their cleaning needs. Additionally, it also utilizes the BoostIQ feature which helps the robot vacuum provide a thorough and deep cleaning in carpets. It automatically increases its suction when detecting carpets. However, the increase of suction also equates to an increase of battery consumption wherein from 100 minutes using standard suction, it will decrease to 40-60 minutes when max suction is on.
The RoboVac 15c has 10 infrared sensors which include 9 infrared anti-collision sensors that lessen the impact or collision from furniture and a drop-sensing technology to prevent the robot vacuum from falling down the stairs and ledges. These sensors help the robot vacuum navigate throughout the room which makes it smarter on navigation and gentler on furniture than its other competitors.
However, since the RoboVac 15c is a budget robot vacuum, it doesn’t have a mapping ability or systematic pattern of cleaning which can cover 100% of the whole area that other more expensive robot vacuums have. Instead, the RoboVac 15c doesn't follow a pattern and bumps into furniture when set into the Auto mode. With this, it is more suitable for small houses or apartments because if the area is small, there will be a higher chance that the robot vacuum can cover the whole area.
Moreover, it doesn’t support virtual boundaries and physical virtual walls so you have to utilize physical barriers to block off areas you don’t want the robot vacuum to go to.
It has a low and compact profile that enables the RoboVac 15c to traverse under low-lying furniture and other areas that are hard to reach when using a regular stick vacuum. This allows the robot vacuum to clean a wider coverage and also reach places that most dirt resides. This is an advantage for robot vacuums that use sensors only instead of those with laser turrets that have more sophisticated navigation because they have a lower profile and more compact design.
The RoboVac 15c supports a lot of smart features in the EufyHome app for a robot vacuum cleaner in this price range. It also supports voice control and remote control that allows the user to manipulate and command the robot vacuum easily. With this, the RoboVac 15c doesn’t require much supervision because it can send notifications in the app whenever it gets in trouble.
Overall, the RoboVac 15c is a great option for day-to-day cleaning. It is suitable for those who are new to robot vacuums because it is affordable, easy to set up, has an intuitive app and remote control, and most importantly, can vacuum thoroughly.
