Who should buy Bagotte BG800

  • This vacuum is for those who have small floor plans because of its short span of battery life. Thus, if you live in an apartment or small house, the battery life is already enough to clean the whole floor in one charge. It is also fit for pet owners because of its strong suction power. Those who want to have a quiet robot vacuum can also consider buying this product because it can navigate quietly. Moreover, if you have a mix of carpet and hard floors, this robot vacuum can also be suitable for you because it has automatic carpet detection where it increases its suction power.

Who should NOT buy Bagotte BG800

  • Considering its short battery life, those with a large house have to think twice about buying this robot vacuum. It is also not recommended for those who have a complicated floor plan or those who have a lot of furniture because it gets stuck easily. Additionally, if you have a lot of areas that you don’t want the robot vacuum to go over and clean, this robot vacuum might not satisfy you because of its limited magnetic strips and the app does not provide no-go zones.

This is our verdict of the Bagotte BG800 based on several hours of research of reviews from both experts and users.
Updated 05-02-2021

The Bagotte BG800 can operate quietly while providing an above-average suction power of up to 2200Pa. It has an intelligent navigation function that includes gyroscopes and optical tracking, hence, it provides efficient navigation and can be seen on the real-time mapping feature in the app. It also has automatic carpet detection that increases its suction power to produce a quality cleaning performance. Its app is also easy to use and provides several features.

However, there are a few issues, such as its battery life which gives it 30-40 minutes running time on the low power setting and even less for the max suction opposite of what the product manufacturer claims which is a runtime of up to 120 minutes on low power. Additionally, after recharging, it doesn’t go back to where it left off because it doesn’t save the map data and restarts a new cleaning session.

The product may have an intelligent navigation system but it gets stuck easily which is why it can only produce its high-quality performance in terms of navigation for those who have a minimal layout. It provides real-time mapping on the app but because it does not utilize LiDAR, the map can be quite abstract and roughly represents the floor plan.

It may have a strong suction power but it is not great at cleaning edges and often leaves small chunks of dirt.

Overall, this robot vacuum can be a great purchase for those who are tight on budget and have minimal and small floor plans because it is ideal for such settings as it can show its utmost quality performance.

Description caret-up caret-down

Bagotte BG800If you’re looking for a cleaning companion to help with basic tasks, such as vacuuming and sweeping, the Bagotte BG800 can help with your home cleaning process so it can be done quickly and easily.

Battery

The Bagotte BG800 has a Li-ion battery with a battery capacity of 2,600 mAh. It can last for 100 minutes and takes approximately 5-6 hours to recharge to full battery. When the battery is low or after a cleaning is done, the robot will automatically return to its charging station to ensure full battery so it can always be ready for its next cleaning schedule.

Cleaning

The robot has a maximum suction power of 2,200 Pa and a dustbin capacity of approximately 20 oz. There are three power settings—max, auto, and low—that you can set, depending on the surface the robot is cleaning. If you have mixed flooring types, you can set it to auto so the robot will automatically kick up the power when it is vacuuming a carpeted area.

With the Bagotte BG800 as your cleaning companion, you have 7 cleaning modes to choose from to clean your house, from low to medium pile carpets, tiles, hard floors, and laminated floors. It has a climbing ability of 0.64 inches. The robot is equipped with a HEPA triple-filter system that cleans your floors from dirt, pet hair, and other allergens.

Functions

Once the app has low battery or is done cleaning, it will automatically return to its base to recharge. In case it detects that there are no more areas left to be cleaned, it will also return to its charging base. It has a scheduling function and you can easily and efficiently control it through the app. You can also set up voice control through Alexa and Google home.

App

The Bagotte BG800 relies primarily on the app for control, however, you can opt to enable voice activation using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. With the app, you can do the following: start and stop the robot, set cleaning schedules, make the robot return to base to charge, manually direct the robot, check accessory status, and view the location of the robot and the map of the cleaned area.

Navigation

The robot is equipped with a Gyroscope mapping sensor that lets it precisely navigate around your house while it is cleaning. This lets it save up on 50% of the cleaning time because it avoids repeating or missing certain areas of your home and having to go back to it.

The Bagotte BG800 also has 14 built-in advanced infrared sensors which allow it to detect and avoid obstacles and keeps it from falling down stairs and ledges. It also comes with boundary markers that you can set around your home to prevent the robot from entering different areas in your house.

The robot comes with a remote control.
